life is GOOD

Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself of that-actually, I think it is a good idea for everyone to do that and put life into perspective.

We tend to vent and gripe and let's face it-sometimes we down right piss & moan, but in the general scheme of things,
LIFE IS PRETTY DARN GOOD.

That is all that I have to say tonite. I am tired and going to spend some time with my "boys". I am going to crop with Amanda tomorrow night at RR. Never cropped there. Let's see if I get anything done-doubtful since I have NOTHING put together, but what the heck right.

Nite Nite.

out of the mouths of babes

So we are driving home from Aunt Sue's and Joshy tells me he is so xcited to show Daddy his new choo-choo, Wiff. Wiff was a new character in a Thomas movie they saw a few months back in the theater and blah blah blah. Daddy luvs choo choos he tells me. He also informs me that Daddy luvs choo choos as much as he does..........etc etc.

So I am driving and I say to him, Well Joshy, what about Mommy? Mommy luvs choo choos too.

He says, "Nope. Mommy you don't luv choo choos like me and Daddy." You luv "SCWAPPY STUFF".
I about pulled the car over laughing hysterically. That is my kid. VERY observant and for the record, I DO luv choo choos, but not as much as scwappy stuff.

shameless plug

This was posted on my dear friend, Miami Dawn's blog, so I copied it for all to see how special it is to have such amazing friends!!

And then my friend Jackie is participating in the MS Walk - you can click here to sponsor her. Jackie held the Crop4Hope back in September. She herself has MS, and will be walking with her team "Team Durning" her goal is to raise $5000.00. If you know Jackie, you probably know some of the people walking on her team like Helen, Amanda, Aunt Sue, or her husband John so drop by and cheer them on by making a pledge.

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Life has been VERY busy for me the last week or so, but productive.
All is good and NO complaints.

The planning for walk ms on March 15th is going very well. I am the Volunteer Coordinator and in need of 60+ volunteers for that day. So, if anyone would like to help, email me at tad64@verizon.net PLEASe. In addition I am trying to grow my team for the walk and reach the Team goal of $10,000.00.

All of this while preparing my kiddos for FCAT and I am still scrapping and creating. The laundry is NOT done, but oh well.

Off to do something productive-taking a shower is also on the agenda. Have a great weekend,
Jackie

Short and Sweet

Yes, that could describe me, ha ha, but not at this moment. Instead, it will describe this post.

I am VERY cranky. So much so, I do not even like myself at the moment. I need some meds to kick in. However, I ran out of them and gotta luv stupidity cause the prescription of them arrived today.

However, they are the WRONG meds, charged double what I normally pay and of course, it was 5:01pm when I got home.

So, I will NOT inflict my mood an any of you all cept to say, hope the evening gets better!!

BUSY BUSY bees

So John decided it was finally time to take the tree down yesterday. That turned into some of the MOST serious cleaning(and pitching) you can imagine. The ENTIRE day was spent filling trash cans. I am telling you, someone would be VERY happy to pick thru my trash on Tuesday morning. LOL. But, it looks sooooooooooo much better. I was scrubbing baseboards and re-arranging furniture and accessories.

Downstairs is looking better, but now it is on to upstairs.

John is presently at Sam's Club with Aunt Sue and Javier picking up the 7 piece Diore granite top table for the pool area. I am sooooooooo xcited. I can't wait for Spring to actually be here so that we can landscape and enjoy the fortune we spent out there.

I will post pics when it is all put together.

Oh and we went the ENTIRE day with NO diaper on at all and no accidents. This morning we even pooped on the toilet by ourselves. I guess he is ready. I am thrilled.
Cept, my baby is growing up.

Back at it

So this week was back to school. It was a short week, which is often worse than a long week, but the kids were really good. It is crunch time to prepare for FCAT, but in reality, I have been doing that all year long, so at this moment I am not feeling the pressure. My kiddos are progressing very nicely and I am pleased.

I got my grades done and entered into the puter. I am not a big fan of the electronic report cards but getting used to them. Now they just have to be double checked and printed on Monday before report card check with the administration on Tuesday.

Joshy adjusted well to being back at Aunt Sue's. He, like me, thrives on his schedule.
He is doing quite well with potty training. I am not pushing it, but he is catching on. I knew he would when he was ready.

I had a sad day for me yesterday and unlike my usual self, I allowed myself to have a bit of a pity party. My partner this year decided that she must go back to work full time in the fall. I know it is a difficult decision for her to put her son in daycare full time, but she feels it necessary and I completely understand. I am sad cause it has REALLY been a great match for us. On the positive side, if she stays at my school, then I will actually get to see her other than passing as our shift changes. That would be great cause i LUV her. The pity party was about having to find another partner for next year and that stress. Plus, the bottom line is, although I rarely feel sorry for myself being sick, this was an evening that I did.

I HATED the fact that I have to do the partner search again cause I HAVE to. KWIM?

However, woke up today & feel better. Off to do some laundry.
Happy Saturday to all,
Jax

Mission Complettion

For those of you that don't know and I am quite certain that is NO ONE, I am just a TAD obsessive about certain things. It used to be MUCH worse, but in my ole age, I am trying to let some things go. That is NOT an easy task for me though.

Well, in the case of the tables for outside by the pool, I have NOT been able to let it go. With that said, we drove to Lakeland via some dumb ass convoluted route dictated by my husband and google maps(that is another whole story-suffice to say, do NOT let dh dictate driving directions when YOU know xactly where u r going anyway). Long and short of it, we got the side table for outside. WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO. It is absolutely gorgeous with a granite top.

The Sam's Club in Carrollwood has the complete set so sometime this week, I will coordinate picking that up. It comes in FIVE boxes and the granite top of that set is going to be HEAVY. This will take a few favors to be called in, but I will have the most gorgeous patio. YEAH.

Maybe I can put the piece of granite over the couch and no one will notice BEDROCK out there?! Think? One can only hope.

Have a great Monday,
Jackie

so we cropped

Yesterday was a croppin kinda day round here. My mil came over and she actually completed THREE pages. Her 1st three pages. Woo Hoo Mom. I think she enjoyed it too. I have her boxes of "stuff" to play with.

Then Amanda came on over and we headed out to WSD to "crop"-ha.
I am guessing that the fact that we decided to attend about two hours prior to going and that I just kinda threw stuff in a bag, prevented me from accomplishing much of anything. That, in addition to the fact that I was socializing. Yes, me, quiet, shy, quiet me..........just a chatting away. It was pathetic.

However there were some ole time scrappers there(no NOT old as in OLD, but ole as in FL Scrappers from many years ago) and boy were the stories from 10+ years ago flying. It was a hoot. Gosh there were people spoken of that hadn't entered my brain in a LONG LONG time. Anyone remember the DIRTY FEET crop? The lady who used to beg for $$ on our yahoogroup?
Things like that. LONG ago, filed away memories that brought a smile to my face.

So, no there was NO scrappin accomplished for me last night, just a great night spent with "girls" away from my "boys" having fun.

Happy Saturday to all,
Jackie

Happy New Year

Wow, I sure have been a NAUGHTY blogger for the last couple of weeks. I will blame it ALL on being on vacation. But, seriously, it is just LIFE and being wayyy toooooo busy.

Our holidays were amazing. However, I am putting in a request to make Christmas a week-long holiday next year. We opened presents FIVE times in two days. YES, 5 times. Needless to say, I have yet to find a place to put everything just yet.

Joshy, John and I were truly overwhelmed with everything we got. It was absolutely wonderful to spend so much time with all of our family here in Florida.
New Year's is NEVER an event for us. I have never been one to go out as I don't wanna risk being on the road with not only the crazy driver's here, but the DRUNK crazy ones too. So we had a nice dinner with Aunt Sue and family and then came home. Never made it up til midnight but that is okay.

John and I actually managed to sneek away to Mount Dora for a MUCH needed Jackie & John adventure. Joshy was well taken care of at our house with Nanny keeping him occupied. Actually, it was more likely the other way around, but she was all too glad to run out the door when we got home in fear that she would have to watch the garbage truck video ONE MORE TIME. ha ha.

I have spent the last couple of days pitching and cleaning out the old to find room for all the new. It has been very theraputic to try to de-clutter. With a 3 year old like mine, I have given up on a "clean" house as I can clean up one room of "stuff" just in time for him to make a mess(or build a track and bridge in another room". So, I will settle for everything having its place if ya know what I mean.

I have even been scrappin'. I did an entire baby album as a gift yesterday, put together several other word albums and completed 9 pages worth of layouts this morning alone. Nothing that I would post or brag about mind you, however, several of them were COMPLETELY out of the box for me.

So, I am off to put on another pair of socks as it is QUITE cold in this house today and my "piggies" are cool.
Have a gr-8 day and a wonderful New Year.
Jackie
