okay so after pondering the water that appeared to be pooling in the ceiling in my kitchen, I decided that something had to be done.
As I type, Eric is here cutting holes in my ceiling, ripping up some baseboards and beginning the drying out process of our minor "flood" this morning.
Never a dull moment.
Of course, he assured me that going thru our HO insurance was more than necessary and I attempted to call the said 24/7 claim line. Apparently, that is 24/7 with the exception of Memorial Day for which they are closed.
I can feel a BIG aggrevation coming on, but what can I do except be thankful that we have insurance, that Drying Specialists are NOT closed in celebration of Memorial Day and be esp. thankful that it happened last night/this morning and not last weekend when we were away for the whole weekend?!
Always gotta find the positive or try to. The glass is half full, the toilet on the other hand, not full of anything and the smell is getting to be more than I can stand truthfully.
Wood floors are already warping...........this is NOT gonna be fun. HUGE deductible, but thank goodness it was MY bath and not the guestbath which is connected to my scraproom walk in closet.
Hope everyone else is enjoying their day. This poor guy is working his tail off. and of course, I took pictures before he got here and after he cut the holes in the ceilings.
